84 Ranger MT Flywheel

84 Ranger MT Flywheel
I just purchased a 1984 Ranger 2WD, 2.8, MT, bad flywheel 
.
My question is what should I do....buy a new one($154.00 @ AdvanceAuto), or buy the flywheel ring for $30.00 and have it welded on?
I searched all the main junkyards in Jacksonville(FL) yesterday with no luck. It seems the 2.8/MT is a rare(only a few years) combo.
Does anyone know of this combo in anything else....mustang, cougar, etc. in 83-85? I did check for Bronco II's also.
