Now what REALLY frosts me (no pun intended) is the weather strip over the sliding door. It always freezes and it's almost impossible to get the sliding door open without just about ripping that stinking weatherstrip loose very time.
I've tried silicone lube, synthetic grease, etc. but it always freezes tight in the winter after a snow storm.
Not to hijack the thread, but, any thoughts, guys?
Yes, replace the weather stripping.
Another suggestion is to actually aply a thin coating of syn grease on the contact area where the seal seals.
I took a closer look at the track on the weekend and discovered that there "IS" a screw / bolt right at the end of the track where it curves inward.
I originally looked inside the track chanel it's self where the rest of the screws are, but at the end of the track there is a tab that extends past the end of the track chanel and the tab had broken off on mine. I just put a self tapping screw through the track and into the body. Who knows how long it will hold, but it only took me 30 seconds to fix.

Yes, that's the word I have been looking for. <Slapping forehead> It's a tab that broke on mine and I fixed it just the way you did, with a self tapping screw. It's has been ages now and the screw is still there.
