Gear selector stuck?!?!
Have an 00' Excursion V10 Limited... love it. Anyways, I drove in snow this morning for the first time. Discovered the 4wd wouldn't engage via the dash switch.. but thats another issue I will be checking out tomorrow (probably the vacuum lines). Well when I got to my destination, my truck would not go into reverse. I mean I could not move the gear selector into reverse no matter how hard I tried. I could downshift to (2) and (1) but not reverse. I drove forward a few feet and was able to get it to move to reverse. Then it would not go into (P)ark. WTF!?! I could move it into every other gear but not Park. After a few minutes of wrestling with the gear selector,I was able to get it into Park. When I got back into the truck 5 hours later, it was fine.. no problems. Any insight you guys can provide would be appreciated.
