washer relay

anybody know where the windshield washer relay is

It would help to know what year it is, and what exactly is the problem? If the washers aren't working, can you hear the pump run?

sorry 2000 xls 4.0l ohv the pump is new the multi function switch is new one pump works the front and back windows the back window works fine you can hear the pump going there is nothing on the front window no sound from the motor i'm just hoping it's not the gem i priced it at $244

if it's wired the same as a 97, theres a seperate fuse & relay for the front pump.

On the 97 the relay is behind the passenger side headlight.

What you need is a good wiring diagram for your 2000.

than you i just found it about an hour ago it was behind the head light just as you described

Good deal, let us know if replacing the relay fixes it.

OK so here's what i found there is a relay box behind the passenger side headlight under the maf sensor with 5 relays in it the ford service manual only shows this box in wiring diagrams but does not show what relay does what if you standing in front of the headlight looking at the relay box it is the top left relay replaced the relay and now my front washer works again and i can see where IM going anyone know what the other 4 relays do

just wanted to say thank you to everyone who shares there know how with us weekend mechanics
