Anyone here used Windows XP 64bit yet? Both my desktop and laptop are 64bit machines, so I figured I'd give it a shot. The university gives me free Microsoft software, so its not like I even have to pay for it.
I did a little looking, and I found that its kind of a cross between XP pro and Server 2003. You do need 64bit drivers for all of your hardware. That could be a bit of a snag if you can't find the drivers. I might give it a shot sometime over Christmas.
like mistercmk stated, you need 64 bit drivers, manufacturers are slow to provide them until it becomes more main stream. from what I gather, whats the point unless you have 64 bit software(mainly buisness apps) to run on it, certainly does not have a big enough speed advantage. might be fun to have it set up in dual boot set up on a machine to play with.
