I noticed this phenomena this summer ONLY when the truck was loaded to the max with gear. I'm pulling a steep grade and the transmission shifts out of overdrive. Then I crest the hill and the transmission does not want to shift back into overdrive UNLESS I push the overdrive button off, then back on. I have heard that the fix is a PCM reflash...does anyone know if this is true? If it is false, any ideas as to cause would be appreciated. Truck shifts perfectly at all other times, both up and down, when empty.

EDIT: Maybe this is the wrong place for this...

I'm never ceased to be amazed at the knowledge base of this website...thanks Casey!
Edit: I just went out to my truck and looked at the decal they put on it when they flashed the PCM back on 1-16-02 and it has this code on it:
F81F-12A650-DK
The D in the code might be a 0 (zero) or and O (the letter O)...nothing written about the code Casey gave me 9-16-9. Does this mean that the flash to fix the shift-hunt problem was not done AND do you know how to translate that code I supplied above to a TSB that a person can read?
