Looks what I've been blaming on a bad ignition system is really a worn out timming chain. I discoverd this while playing with the rotor on my truck it can turn about 10 degrees and stay anywere in that range befoe it feels like its engaging. So any advice? I'm going to get the chain set and timing cover set in the morning and will check back, if you know something i need to know before I get to far Hollar

 

Do you have the required tools and supplies ?

Yes I ve got everthing, even have harmonic balance puller, just wondered if this like so many things had special tricks related to it, specific to an FE, Ive changed them on windsor blocks, and SBC so don't expect any major hangups
