Hello,

I am in process of doing cam phasers and an all new timing set on my 04 5.4. The phasers are from ford, but the rest is Cloyes. I have everything installed and the chains are super tight. So tight I had to pry on the tensioners to get the holes to line up. Is this normal? Will the chains stretch on startup? Also I triple checked all the guides are in the proper place.

My experience was the same. Had to pry the tensioner into place. Good luck!
