Second time this week I've heard that. Spent the Sunday after Thanksgiving in Kearney, trying to fix my DD while that storm blew in. Lost my holiday pay on that deal.

I hear we'll be up to a balmy 32 F tomorrow, Woo-hoo! The wind chill might make me think of y'all. Be safe guys!

I know this is nothing to most of you frosty northern folk, but this is just plain bad for central texas...

Hey Scoot and guys.
It is -45, snowing, and hurricane is blowing in right after the tornado blows through. It looks more and more like the temp will continue to fall.
This is Phoenix and as you can see the weather is just TOOOOO bad for any more of you snivelers to want to move here.
It is too crowded as it is so stay away.
UncleFudd
Oh by the way.
I can't find my tools as I am sitting out on the patio sipping a cool one after mowing the grass, well half of the grass then a cool one (or more) then back to some part of the other half before more cool ones.
Jeeesh its tough but someone has to do it.

Here in Houston it's 36...today's high is 40...tonight a low of 29. I'm on galveston bay though and it rarely ever drops below freezing. The pool stays open year round. We were in Rochester, NY for 3 years before moving here. The first year here the kids swam all year long...now they can't stand it when it get's below 60 outside....LOL.

Hey UncleFudd, I feel for ya man! I can't sit out on the deck and have a cool one like you can, my lips keep getting stuck to the bottle. And I chipped a tooth on my lime slice.

Well, at least we got a break this morning. It was only -15.

Winter fat, let the fur grow out. LOL
One of my coworkers was stationed in Alaska, saw him wear an actual coat for the first time this winter. Usually he's working in a T-shirt while the snow is falling; yep, we work outdoors.

I feel for you warm weather people. During one of our spring storms I followed a car down Colfax, thought he was drunk 'till I saw the Florida plates:
Car was wandering in the lane, crawling along @ 15 MPH, defroster and windshield wipers not having much effect, getting a little sideways at every stop.
As I came up behind him I noticed he was hanging his head out the window to see. He did OK 'till he stopped at a light with no oncoming traffic. Looking out the driver side window he started toward the oncoming lanes, ran up the median and hit the traffic signal in the midle of the street. As the light was rocking back and forth on the pole, his Mrs. began striking him about the head and neck. He backed off the median and continued down the right side of the road. I think it's a night he'll never forget...
