gem module or keyless entry module
Hi gang, I need some help, I have a 1999 F250 psd, it is the xlt and has all pwr options, I purchased the keyless entry module off of ebay and need some help to install it. I read that the gem module controls the keyless stuff so I am confused. Do I need the module? the truck does not have keyless entry as far as I know. The woman I purchased it from said it did not. I looked behind the fuse panel but did not see any extra plugs. the module I purchased has a place for 2 grey plugs and 1 larger black plug. it has a 5 number code which I am told is for the keyless door thing, I dont have that. It also has a place to plug the radio antenna into it.
Any help with pictures would be great.....

I purchased the rke unit, I cant seem to find the plugs to plug the module in. Is there a wiring harness for this or am I just sol? I have not taken the dash apart where the radio is but this box has a place to plug the antenna into it along with 2 grey plugs and one larger black plug. If anyone can take a picture of their rke unit and where it is that would be wonderful. 1999 psd xlt. Thanks

Look up under the dash in the center right behind the stereo against the fire wall. thats the GEM unit it has the 3 plugs you are talking about. And when you purchase a new one from Ford they come with a sticker with the factory 5 digit keypad door unlock code on it. Well at least thats how it is on a 02 Excursion. Hopefully this helps a little.
