Removing door and tailgate emblems

JUST USE HEAT!!!
As I read through the posts I have to wonder why it took so long for someone to mention heat from a simple hair dryer. My early F25099SD had a early tailgate badge w/o the SUPERDUTY on the emblem. I got my wife's (snuck it out of the house) hairdryer and slowly heated the area and it came off with absolutely no glitches!!
Clean up the area with a bit of lacquer thinner (any sticker residue) and buff the area and wax it...Make it really shiny... then get some rubbing alcohol and rub out just the area where the emblem sticks to the tailgate or fender. After you replace with a new emblem... wax around it and remove dryed wax with a soft cloth and a soft bristle tooth brush (I have 3 sons so I have a bench full of old toothbrushes!)
BTW... I just got my ART rotors (front)... cryo'ed/slotted CENTRIC aftermarket rotors with Performance Friction Pads... quality stuff can't wait to install them...Are the correct caliper slide pins F81Z-2C150-BA or F81Z-2C150-AA ???? For my early 99 250SD 4x4 (3/98date).
