Hi guys, I have a question, I just built a bumper/brushguard for my 99 250 ps and am going to purchase a winch. Can anybody give me good advice as far as brands are concerned. I know Ramsey and Warn are pretty good, does anyone know anything about TD or Rand. Thanks guys
I like warn... I only have a 9k pound winch, but with a big wheel pully it turns that 9k into 18k aqnd if i double it again (i think) its supposed to go to 36k. now i think htat should pull out just about anything i need.
Have you considered a hydraulic winch, like a Mile Marker (which also makes a pretty good electric)? My personal opinion is that they are better than electrics. I don't personally use one anymore (turns-out the Army didn't let me keep the HMMWV when I ETS'd). If you want an electric though, I say go Warn, the one on my little rockcrawler has been beat-up many times over the years and still serves me well.

After 2 warn winches on two different trucks I bought a 76 CJ 7 with a Ramsey. After a year of use and abuse I thank it is as good as the warn. and in my area Ramsey is 2-300 dollers less.
