This May seem Dumb

Just a quick question I have a 2003 f-150 supercrew 4x4 and when I seem to do a burn out, only twice don't tell my wife, the belt under the hood squeeled and the abs felt like it came on and the truck wouldn't stop for a few seconds. Sounds dumb but I don't think the belt should squeel or the brakes fail for a few secounds but it does. I know the easiest way to fix this is don't dew burn-outs but thats no fun, any feed back.

Well the ABS def will have a problem w/ you doing burnouts.
The speed sensors will read that the rear wheels are spinning, but the fronts are not.
Chances are there is no escessive wear occuring, but that may cause a fault code w/ the trucks or the ABS computer.
A similar problem happens when a car is dyno'd for emissions, usually causing the ABS light to come on but reseatting after a few normal brake stops.

The squeel is just your truck telling you to stop. No clue on that, does your power steering seem to work ok while the squeel is happening?

Several posts have commented on the squeel of the belt. Appears to be normal on these engines unless you go to a high quality belt. My '01 has done it since new and it is only at wide open throttle.

The squeal is just the belt slipping. No big deal. The only way to solve that is to get a better belt.

I was just applying the brake enough to start the spining process then letting off the brake and it left a dual 5 foot patch, COOL!! Then the abs shutter and squeeling belt. Thanks for the input, I kind of figured it was nothing because the truck runs great when drivin normal.
