I could see Ford basing it off the f150 or maybe even a shortened f250 with a small diesel or 5.4. But i don't think they'd make a completely new vehicle for us.

It would be like the recent broncos that were shortbed f150's with a cap. Hopefully they would give us some decent driveline components though!

 

you people must be hitting the pipe way too much. a landrover is an overpriced yuppie vehicle with all the bells and whistles so all the rich mamma's boys don't get uncomfortable. I know from personal experience, that if you throw some lockers in a 79 broncos axles, not only will you outperform a landrover, you will do it with style and save a whole lot of money as well. oh, and for whoever it was that said their expedition is 250% better than a bronco....hold on I got to stop laughing. expeditions have been tested as some of the worst off-road performing suv's in their era. out here in the boondocks where i moved to recently, we have some of the worst snow drifts imaginable. in all directions from my house(which is at the highest elevation in my county) there are open fields for no less than 400 yards. we keep our snow shovel in the house so we can dig our way out when the snow is taller than the door. i have had to put on snow shoes just to walk to my 79 Bronco which was almost completely under snow except for about 3 in. of the roof. I clean off the windshield and drive right out like it is nothing. unless you are already flying at a snow drift at 40mph in an heavy expedition, you are not going to make it through.
