Ok, my 302 is a bit worn out currently has 197xxx on the clock. All the drive train stuff is the same way nothing has been replaced / rebuilt except the little things, nothing big like the front or rear end tranny transfer case or motor. My question is has any one dropped a 97+ 5.4 into a pre 97 truck? along with the tranny and all the running gear.I plan on using every part possibel from a wrecked truck w/ an auto and a 5.4, 4x4 Any help would be great

a 5.8 swap would be easier for sure.
But if you want to undertake this you will infact need a parts rig. do a search on the web and on here . there is a guy puting one into a 78 bronco i believe. but he is swaping the dash and everything. anything is possible with enough patience and money
