Hello All
I am looking for some advise from about some locking hubs.
I have a 1989 bronco II 2.9 4X4 with auto hubs can I take the hubs off and replace them with a set of manual hubs from a 1987 ranger truck that a friend of mine has or do i need more then just the hubs all the help is needed before i tear it apart thanks
Your friend's '87 Ranger should have a Dana 28 front end just like your '89 BII (assuming both are stock), so you should be able to use his manual hubs. Be sure to get everything from the wheel bearing locknut out. If you have a Haynes/Chiltons manual, it should have diagrams to see the difference.
ya just make sure to get the locknut and reuse his bushings and needle bearings i have instructions from when i put mine on some ware but just pay attention to the way u take his off
and remove the key way when taking your bearing nut off
