im getting ready to replace the ball joints and convert my hubs to manual locking hubs. where do you all recommend i buy the parts from? what all do i need for the hubs? i know i need the manual locking hubs but then do i need some kind of kit? i heard somewhere that they can be over priced some places and its best to buy from JBG?
Anything under $100 is fine regarding the hubs, i recall Warn Premiums (part #20990 if memory serves) at Amazon being around $77, if your current auto hubs have 5 bolts in the cap you only need the replacement hubs, if they have 3, you need an aditional kit, just enter Warn's page and research a little for the part number of the kit.
I don't see any other difference, but i do prefer the all alloy dial and would gladly pay the difference. Mile Marker is also a good brand, you could check their product, and i've heard good things about Superwinch, but yes, Warn is the preferred replacement.
