I'm having trouble with the slip yoke in my f-150 and all ford does is lube it. they tell me they dont know how to fix it. anyone else having this problem?
I had a '97 F-150 that I took to Ford over and over for what they said was a slip joint problem. It turned out to be motor mounts. Once those were repaired, my problem went away. Just a thought.
I have replace the slip yoke itself on a truck that keep coming back for the same problem. Havn't heard from him. Nobody really seems to have a answer for this problem even ford. There have been a number of people on here who have this problem.
G-rod24 The slip yoke is the part that slides into the back of the transmission extension housing. Its job is to allow the drive shaft to slide in and out of the trans
as you accellerate and decel. What happens is when it gets older it doesn't slide in and out smoothly and you will feel a shudder as it moves on the splines of the output shaft.
