How do you kill the warning chimes

My dads got a 1995 awd Aerostar We have been looking for the wire to kill the chimes because they are coming on and staying on when its going down the road. Very seldom do they work when they are suppose to. pulled the panel off under the steer column and found too many wires to try and find the one so to speak.

Do you have the digital dash, or the analog dash?

My 92 used to do that a lot. I stuck a piece of adhesive foam weatherstripping where the driver's door switch is, and that seemed to solve it. Seems to be really sensitive and hitting a bump would ding the chime.

Under the dash to the left of the stering wheel, white plastic box (i think it was hte first thing I did on mine and it was ages ago, looks like a large relay box (about 6-8 pins)

Sorry for not checking this rescently but thanks for the replys. Its an analog dash. I try searching for that relay box. Its warmer this week so it stopped for now. 10f and below Is were he has problems.
