Anyone know where I can get one of these? It's the small cable that goes from the streering column to the "PRND12" window on automatic transmission models.
Thanks,
saigon
A very good question. The cable seems to be a very fine braided wire, like a tiny wire towing cable. I remember years ago that the control lines for model aircraft were made of the same type of cable. The loops at the ends were made by folding the wire back on itself and twisting round and then applying a small amount of solder to secure the twisted wire. Could a cable be made this way? I would think the wire could be got from a model aircraft store. It might be difficult to make the cable to the right length but might be worth a try. Hope this helps. Might try it myself.
