i was wondering what mods are recommended for squeezing out a few more ponies on the 351M, i already have an intake manifold and 4 brl carb. and im not so willing to rip the motor completely apart.
Hello- Welcome to FTE! I have moved your post to the specialized forum we have here for your question. Check out the list of tech forums we have here. There is a wealth of information and expertise here to help you. There are a number of links in my sig below to help you also. Have fun!
4V intake & carb, 600-650 cfm 4V carb, small primary long tube headers, swap the stock timing chain for a good quality aftermarket unit, recurve the stock distributor.
Spend a few hours searching through this forum and you'll find a ton of recipes for building more power in your motor. Many of them involve replacing the 351M cranshaft with a 400 crank & pistons but short of tearing your motor down completely you can make some significant power gains without getting too greasy.
