Old front end for a new truck

Does any one know what company makes the 53-56 style nose for the 97-04 style late model Ford F-150?

I would like to do that.

Thanks.

I think the name of the company doing that is something or other "fusion".

Try doing a goggle search using "fusion and ford" or "fusion and truck"...

I have never seen a 53-56 nose for Ford. I have seen the 47-52 Chevy nose for the 88-98 Gm trucks. I would like to see this.

I have seen a kit that mounts '53-56 front end on a Ranger and the '47-50 Chevy on a newer Chevy, both look pretty cool.

I could not find anything on the 53-56 conversion. Any one have any more info?

Here is the Chevy conversion (I don't know why): http://www.newstalgiawheel.com/retro_conversion.asp

I also found this while looking for ideas for my truck. It's a 48 with a 97-03 grill and bumper. Not my style but here it is anyway: http://www.carnut.com/cgi-bin/02/ima...pf/nat1043.jpg

I don't normally like modified trucks but the one you posted looked kind of cool to me. I know I have seen a show truck a while back that was making the rounds that had a '54-56 front end on a late model Ranger. It was being shown by a company that made the kit to do it. I am pretty sure someone posted it here but I did a search of the site and couldn't find it. I hope someone else can remember the post it was a nice looking red truck.

It's about the only one I haven't seen I guess. I have seen the 47-52 Chevy kit, a 40 Ford kit for S-10s, the Studebaker truck kits for S-10s, bullet nose Studebaker kits for El Camino's, the 49-51 Ford for the T-birds, and I'm sure another one or two. I'm curious on what the 53-56 conversion looks like.

About 15 years ago I saw a full size ch**y with a studebaker nose. All I know is that it was fiberglass.

Not sure Fuzion is still in business. I am not sure the Fuzion was available as a kit. I thought you could only get one if you sent your truck to them. That could be the death of that project. If you are paying someone to modify your truck THAT much, might as well start with a new truck. So you couldn't buy a kit for your existing truck. Since the 2004 change of truck models styling, no more new trucks for Fuzion.
I did find the following article with photos,,,,

Thanks truckfarmer. That looks pretty cool. I think it would have looked better if it were a regular cab flareside, but still very cool. I like this pic:

I think the Ford conversion looks pretty cool.I agree that it would look better on a flareside truck. If I had a daily driver Ford I would have to check into this.

I personally like the looks of this truck. I agree, it would be cooler with a Flairside. Imagine the fun you could have with that retro nose on a 380hp Lightning!
I would build one of these (or the 47-53 Chebby kits) on a model that was not available then, like an Expedition, Supercab, SuperCrew, or in the bowtie camp, a Tahoe. Hmmmm, a crewcab dually to pull the car trailer.
I posted a thread on the 97+ forum to see if the late model guys have any info on these conversions.

It always amazes me to see something like this. I bought a new truck a few years back, it set me back about 27K. These guys will take a truck like mine and tear it apart and customize it by adding another 20K of parts and labor. Where do they get the money? I know neither my bank nor insurance company would look too kindly on taking what is basicly their investment and butchering it. I'm assuming most of the people here have enough to cover the payments, or maybe the whole cost, on a nice truck but to be able pull the additional money out of our back pockets I would find amazing if the average have it.
