Shift Kit For Towing
I am interested in a shift kit to help the trans. while towing. I have read alot about the sonnax, but would like to know a little more about the Transgo. Where can they be purchased, How Much,and any feedback that you might have to help me decide which one I would be more happy with. thanks

Don't know much about the transgo, probably not much different than the sonnax valve and springs. I got the valve and springs for $50 from Diesel Innovations. I think that's the price for about any shift kit that's similar. I'm extremely happy with mine, easy install, just takes time. But it definitely helped firm up the shifts, well worth the time and effort.

With either one, I think you'd be doing your tranny a great justice. I went with Sonnax from BlackCloud, and I also got a TruCool tranny cooler 4739 that I hooked up in series with the stock cooler. It usually runs right around 150 even when it is cold. The 4r100 have a bypass valve when the tranny is cold. I think it opens right at 145-150 as this is the temp I usually see. Towing the 5th wheel I haven't seen the temp go above 180 and in town driving where it saw it go above 200 I haven't seen it get above the 160.
