All of the 8-lug rims (except for the new Super Dutys) are the same bolt pattern. The problem lies in the large hubs Ford used on the rear axles, Chevy rims will not clear them, some Dodge do (but not all). Hope this little bit of info helps!
Beginning with the 99 model year the spacing on 8-lug wheels on ford vehicles changed----all 8-lug wheels prior to 99 were based on 8lug on 61\2" spacing------as far as 99 models on dodge or gm I'm really not sure-----as far as the interchangability of pre-99 between ford , gm , and dodge I believe dodge and ford will fit but I could be wrong-------fd :-X11
Factory rims are different only because the ford trucks have a larger hub on the rear. The actual bolt pattern is the same.I once put a set of aluminum aftermarket rims of a chevy onto a ford and they fit with no problem.
That's what these wheels are (aftermarket 8 lug off a chevy). I have a GM14 bolt as a rear in my 79 Bronco, and I want to put late 70's Ford Dana 60 up front. So I was just trying to find out if I could purchase the wheels from a guy that had all four on his chevy. Looks like I will be able to, ahy?
Hi All:
I was wondering the same thing, except mine are 5 lug for my 78 F150.
A buddy of mine who owned a Ch%$y, gave me 4 tires with the rims, same bolt pattern and rim size. I'd like to just put these on and go. 2 of the 4 31" I have are in pretty bad shape, so it would make life easier, and cheaper at this point, I just dropped 700 bucks in my Windstar, if I could just change all four, and save to buy some new 31" later.
Can I do this? Will they fit.
Thanks
Dave

-If you already have the rims/tires then just try 'em on your truck. Off the top of my head 5 bolt rims vary in bolt/hub patterns alot more than 8 bolt rims do.
