Snow build up
Has anyone noticed that the snow build up on the running boards can prevent you from opening the doors without damaging the paint? My 05 SCREW has this issue(first winter). I would like some ideas on how to prevent this short of taking the boards off. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened too.
If splash guards are the way to go product names and numbers would be a great help.

I have not found a good remedy. This has happened on every Ford I have ever owned. The only action is preventative. Make sure to clean that section off with your boot or something every time you get in/out of your truck.

I have the sure method of fixing the ice build up problem. I too had that problem about 17yrs ago, then moved away from the cold weather to the warmer climate. Only problem with ice now is when the waitress puts too much ice in my soda at lunch time.

I'll gladly deal with snow building up on my running boards a couple of days in each winter. You guys in the "warm" states that are in the hurricane belt, have more worries than I care to deal with.
