Pretty cool man.I have used thr garage trusses more than once to remove a cab.I once hoisted a 48 frame with a volare sub frame from the garage truss to paint the bottom of the frame.

It helps to have a forklift. I ran a 3" nylon strap through the door windows and criss-crossed them over the top of the cab and slid the forks through. Works real nice but still it's a nerve racking experience to have the cab dangling six feet in the air.

I have two RSJ's (big I beams) built into the roof about 10 ft apart, both with traveling blocks (runners) and two tonne chain blocks.

I can lift bodies and chassis and put them onto the rottisery.....makes life real easy.

My engine crane doesn't get used much anymore.
