thats what i thought, i have a turbo rx7 and that boost doesn't let up intil my foot lifts
Well if that's the case then there is something wrong. Don't go on that $100.00 race as you will most likely come out the loser.
There are several causes of losing boost in that manner. The most likely one is a weak fuel pump, unable to keep up with demand. I recommend that you find a pressure guage that you can read while driving and hook it up to the fuel system and see how much pressure you have at WOT (wide open throttle). It should stay the same from idle to redline, climbing the steepest hill you can find, pulling the heaviest load you can find.
The other possible cause is a weak HPOP (high pressure oil pump). But I doubt it on this one. If your pump was weak it would be very difficult to start when fully warmed up.
one thing i hav notice that the trans sometimes kicks down and sometimes doesn't. one thing i was thinking is that i should buy a upgradeed turbo or mod a fie this one where do i go to buy a turbo or mods for a stock one?
