Just installed Evolution

Yep, i got an evolution programmer to stack on my Juice. i retreived trouble codes, there were only 4. things like AIH error (i disabled it), high exhaust pressre input, things that would normally arise with a fueling box. i put the juice back down to 0 to upload the stock program on the Evo, and when loading setting 2 (race, 80hp/140tq), i could not see of find a screen to adjust transmission line pressure. does it automatically adjust the line pressure based on the setting used? this question is mainly for BuickTurbo, because he has these stacked also. but, if anyone else has some input, please post.

i bought this programmer mainly for transmission adjustability, pulling codes, and real-time engine specs.

When i talked to edge they claimed that the line pressure is adjusted automatically, and they even said that with the sonnex valve/spring mod, the shift will be hard. They told me that if i had the sonnex mod in my truck, that i could send the evo back and they would reprogram to adjust for the harder shifts. Im still a little confused about how the juice/attitude would work while downloading the "race setting". Is the race setting now the baseline 0 setting for the juice, and then when you increase in programs you add from there? The impression i received from edge was that the 2 units complement each other, rather than add the power from each unit stacked.

yes, they about "average" the two numbers. 60hp evo and 80hp from the juice wont make 140hp, it will be closer to 100.

i love how it adds line pressure, it will hold 3rd gear alot longer now under light throttle. i loaded the middle setting, 80hp/race. it will easily get to 55mph under moderate throttle before jamming into OD. before, it went into OD as soon as it could, 42-45mph. also when slowing down to about 40, it forces the transmission out of OD, and it will stay in third until about 50mph now. the adjusted line pressure automatically compensates for this i guess. it also locks the TC up alot sooner in 2nd gear. it barely shifts out of first, and you can hear the engine drop down because the TC just locked. overall, i really like this. i almost got my mom to allow me to do the 1/4 mile and 0-60, just to see what it can do. i plugged it in, she liked the blue and pink display

the stipulation was that i had to get out and lock the hubs in for a good start, and she didnt want me to get out... oh well, next saturday is coming soon enough.

That is exactly the setup i want to do to my 250, but im just wondering if my tranny will handle that, i have a stock auto, well im assuming its stock, and the truck is lifted with 38 x 15.50 tires and stock gears. The motor is also stock now, what do you guys think, am i just going to blow her out the bottom or you think it will hold?

after 4'' exhaust and intake, i would upgrade the transmission with a sonnax valve/tricumulator springs. it makes the transmission alot firmer feeling. buickturbo has this setup, and he doesnt seem to have a light right foot. his is doing fine.
