Finally got a MAF Adapter And K&n off ebay for my 2002 3.0 Stepside..Only cost me 10 bucks including shipping..took a whole 5 mins to install..Really dont notice and power gains..but it sounds sweet under the hood..I think a new exhaust might make run better...heres a pichttp://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b181/rangersurfer06/P1010027.jpg
Pretty cool. And you noticed the sound difference?
The performance won't be noticable until you add some more things on, it only adds a tiny bit, so it takes several mods compounded onto one another to make a difference.
man i have a true dual on my ranger 3.0 and i wouldnt reccomend it. my o2 sensors pop like crazy. its due to the limited back pressure i have. (ive been thinking of resisting it somehow)
Yeah, i wouldnt go for the true dual on any ranger, unless its a 5.0. I true dualed my 4.0, and used glasspacks, and it sounds like a really big rubber band. Just a horrible ricer sound, i dont think it helped the power at all. I liked the sound of it with the cat on and it just y'ed out to 2 pipes after a glasspack. I should have never cut off that exhaust job.
Oh, also, make sure that your filter has oil on it. Mine came with no oil, i put it on just cause i wanted to hear it, and it was loud and made that sound, then when i oiled it, it went back to normal.
i guess i should have been more specific. i wouldn't use true duals either, what i meant was cat-back. i've heard good things about headers though. anyone else?
