Blew a hose after overheating due to freezing my hoses. I think the smog pump sucked some stuff in and is now stuck. How can I get it unstuck? Is it supposed to spin by hand when the belt is off? Right now it does not.
It is thawed and plenty of antifreeze is in it now, just can't move the smog pump. I want to bypass it, but don't know the length of belt that is on now or what shorter belt to get to bypass the smog pump.
I've had the smog pump stuck after one of my trucks sat for awhile. I used a pipe wrench and turned it the opposite direction. I put the belt back on and it's worked fine for about a year now. But, I still expect it to quit at any time.

Same thing happened here ('88 F150, 300-I6) Smog pump seized up after sitting for a couple years. I tried to take it off, but the mounting bolt was frozen. I had to get a big breaker bar just to loosen it. I managed to back the bolt out, but the pump is still on there as tight as can be and I can't get it off. Is there another bolt on it? I didn't see one.
