I have a 03 f 150 4.6 liter V8 ALL STOCK
my question is will an VORTECH supercharger for a 96-98 Mustang GT/Cobra ( have both brackets) 4.6 liter mustang bolt up? What mods would i have to do if any? A friend of mine has a brand new one I can get ...he bought an 04 Cobra.
I believe you would have to do some fabricating to make it work. I own a '98 Cobra, and the supercharger for the GT is different. Double check what car it came off of (GT or Cobra) and go from there.
I own a '98 Cobra and I think the s/c's are different for the GT and the Cobra. Find out what car they came off, and I will post on my SVT website to try to get you some answers.
The plumbing will be all wrong due to throttlebody placement and wiring harness would need modification if you change intakes and such to the Mustang version.
the cobra is a 32valve DOHC engine
the GT and saleen engine are 16valve SOHC engine
the intake and superchargers are different
GT and saleen chargers will fit on truck engines but with minor mods
(computer, throttle cable, belt sys....)
what i plan to do is take a lincoln navigator 5.4 32v put it into my 97 f150 4x4
and possibly finding a cobra supercharger for it, along with a ZF 6 speed
