Supercharger

Does anybody make a supercharger for the 4.6 3v F150 ? I can find 5.4 applications everywhere and applications for the 4.6 3v mustang engine but not the F150.

I know the engines are the same, but my question is, will the supercharger that's designed to fit IN THE MUSTANG, fit in the F150 ?

Intercooler piping if external might prove troublesome, but room should not be an issue underhood. If it uses the valley located intercooler, should be no issue at all. Might require a true custom tune though as the one that comes canned with the Mustang unit may or may not suit you in a truck. I have used Brenspeed in the past.

Just posting so I can see updates, as I'm interested, too and have the same size engine. This type of mod is farther down my list but want to keep my ears open

Thanks for the info....I've called Roush and Saleen about their kits, but neither of them could give me a solid yes or no. They told me that the aftermarket race camshafts would swap right in, but would require a spot on custom tune...They both said that they had no doubt their superchargers would fit, but would require some minor mods, one said something about the fuel rails being different...I'll keep on investigating this.

Roush and Saleen(the old Saleen) have both done S/C F150's, hell even Steeda did one. That's odd they couldnt give you any info.

The F150's they supercharged all had the 5.4 engine. If they did do a new 4.6 3v F150 let me know so I can check it out.

If you cannot find a S/C for your truck, you might really want to look into this company and their turbos:
Squires Turbo Systems - Ford F150

They make a pretty sweet kit, and the turbo whine is awesome.

I'll check them out...I was trying to avoid the turbo route because I didn't want to have to deal with all the exhaust piping and turbo oil feed/drain back lines. But the turbo might be my only route if I don't fing something.
