ok, i know i'm rambling here, but just a thought:

About fuel mileage,

Has anyone ever seen one of those fog fountains? theres a little ultra sonic vibrating thing that causes the water to turn into fog. Could a similar thing make diesel fog, and then just have a carb type intake to mix it? I'm sure the fog droplets are smaller than injector droplets, thus burning way better.

my old 84 F250 6.9 had just over 200k miles on it, and it still ran just fine. the T19 trans also worked just fine, though it had an annoying habit of popping out of second gear on steep downgrades. the rear end was working just fine also. the body was starting to fall apart though.

Recent Purchase

I've recently purchased a 2003 Ford E350 7.3 PSD with 275,000 miles on it. It had several problems (turbo not funtioning & tranny) and this forum is helping me diagnose most of them. I use it for missions trips into Mexico and vacations. Got a trans error code while down near Mexico City. Drove it back home hear in NY while pulling a trailer - I think the solenoid valve body in the trnas needs replacing - I hope I didn't damage the trans too much in the process of getting it home. I'm hoping the engine will last as long as the body does in these Northern states - lots of salt in the winter.

Same here....211,000 and going strong. I replaced a CPS, and glow plug relay....that is it. I would buy one again, if they still made them.

My 7.3L idi has just bout 150k, my dads 7.3L idi has 185K with the original pump and injectors, its time to do em but still thats pretty good for the old girl, at work we got 7.3L psds just pushing 305K with a few injectors here in there nothing major, better than we can say about our 6.0Ls they cant make it down the road for 25,000 till the turbos go, then egrs, then at the injectors that cost 4500$ cause they go not to long after all that good stuff, What a great engine Ford replaced the 7.3L, 6 choke 0L . Im gonna stick to the trust ol 7.3Ls that ill make it 500K and not strand you some where or when you towing a load puke on you.

If the injectors "go not long after" 25,000 miles, wouldn't that be covered under warrenty?
