Ceramic Brakes
So let me just make sure I have this right, if I purchase ceramic brakes for my '01 7700 it will get rid of the characteristic squealing? Also does anyone have anything against Raybestos brand?
Also the truck only has 69000 miles on it, I don't think the rotors would need turning, is there anyway to break up any possible glaze from the dust on them before installing new ceramic pads? Thanks....

well you can turn them for best results or just scuff them with sand paper. then clean very well with brake cleaner. i use the satisfied brand pads when i can. they work very well and last a long time . little pricey at about 80.00 a set. www.kragen.com

It may, or may not. If the pads were the squick and you are sure about it then yea it will most likely. But it could be hot spots in the rotor. I would also take off the rotor and clean were the rotor meets the hub.
