word around here, is that once you make 400-450 hp, you are endangering your engine of shattered rods. WHY did ford swtich anyway? now im stuck at 400hp...

nah, i dont want to tear that deep into my engine without knowledge of how to properly put it back together. unless we get "open shop" time in Diesel Tech. class this coming year, that would be awesome, i bet we get to work on some T444E's in class plus, this truck and all it's mods has basically chewed up my wallet, i only have a few thousand in my checking account, i need that as a padding in case something happens to my truck.

If you're at 400 rear wheel it's only a matter of time. What injectors are you running?

nah 400 is safe if you have correct programming with no timing advance. Timing advance kills psd's. IMO billet rods are waaay overkill unless you are planning on running some huge fuel, lots of drugs, twins, etc.... the $2500 price tag is also kinda scary. Forged rods are very capable of making 600+ if tuning is done properly.

Depends on what you consider safe. The timing is going to advance itself every cold morning.....it only takes once with PMR's.

no no no, i think you have me wrong. as time goes on, i will find ways to add more power, and i dont want to blow an engine by any means, i have no where near 400 hp now. i may have 300RWHP, making an educated guess of my mods against CatMan963's mods. he has 307hp i believe.
