Fuels

Hey Guys,

I'm new to the diesel world. I've seen different fuels mentioned on these forums. My question is.. Whats is the difference between B-20, B-50, B-100 fuels and what fuel do you get at the pump at local gas stations.
Also I've heard people saying their fuel mileage goes down with the winter blend, what makes the winter blend different.

The B means bio the B-20 is 20% biodiesel mix. which is 100% mixed with regular diesel to get to the desired %. Example B-20 mix in 100 gal of fuel is: 20 gal 100% soybean or vegtable oil and 80 gal of diesel fuel.
Depending on the station you can get 2% all the way up to 100% Go to www.biodiesel.org and there is where most of your questions can be answered.

Yes most winter blends in the north country the mileage will go down some. Must be from the antigel agent.
