This is my first winter with a diesel, I had my fuel mileage drop by about 1.0 1.5 MPG is this a common thing as far as winter time goes. I here winter blends are different.

if they have started blending your fuel for winter blend fuel then yes that is very normal I always drop at least that amount when switching to blended fuel.

very common..I loose 2 to 3 MPG with warm ups and the motor trying to stay warm..even in a gasser I loose a couple MPG.. cold parts move hard....hard to build heat up in the engine bay with 50 MPH wind chills going down the road when its 0 or below on the thermometer..the truck is always working hard to stay warm and keep the running gear moving with cold almost froze grease and oil..
