Incase you Russ or Greg are wondering its not even an FE. I wear glasses, and am quite blind myself.

Looks like a 335 or 385 series. I am thinking a 429 or 460 because the ports like like big ovals, hell might even be a boss 429.

Brad, as long has that pic of a motor is what he bought, its not even an FE let alone a 427 cammer.

it's a 429/460 and not a boss 9 either, and I really don't think the ports look right for a cj or scj so probably just a plain old 429 grandma motor.
I know it's not a 335 series engine because it doesn't have a thermostat hole and the 335 the thermostat housing bolts to the block but the 385 series it bolts to the manifold

just a plain jane 429/460 nothing special. not worth 250.00 either. dime a dozen here for 100.00 or free.

Well I'm glad someone could tell from the tiny pic what it is. I vote 385 series also. Round ports and the dizzy hole confirmed it for me. Plus no 7 ft cammer timing chain either. Bummer.

Maybe the poor guy just got took. He may not be tring to pull one over on us. But I can't see the pics so what do I know? LOL
