been researching for years and now i finally have a MAF (e40d) 94 5.0l bronco's complete wiring harness (with one 02 sensor plug), computer, intake y pipe, maf sensor, and distributor.
*what im wondering is whether anyone can tell me whether im going to need that same vehicles TFI unit (that little heat sink looking thing bolted to the inside of the drivers side quarter panel) to make the conversion work in my speed density e40d 5.0l 1992 bronco?
*is there anything else im gonna need to pull of the conversion?
*is the fact that the donor vehicle had airbag sensors and 4 wheel ABS going to be a problem when i have nothing to hook those connectors to on my 1992?
im doing this conversion on a pretty modded 5.0 (with slight rod-knock )
edelbrock upper and lower with phenolic spacer
k&n cone filter
l&l longtubes and custom y-pipe/exhaust
msd blaster coil
helix bore TB spacer
btw i also have a 95 5.8 f250 computer and maf sensor.
??? what about a MAF conversion qualifies it as a thread belonging in the engine swap forum? im not swapping my engine. not yet anyways. i thought it was more appropriate under the performance and general engine building forum.
