I have a 84 F150 4wd, standard tranny with a 300 inline in it, it is giving me some problems and i am thinking about swapping the motor out for a 302 which i would like to have more HP anyway,
I was wondering if i do this will i have to change a lot of things as far as motor mounts, bell housing, and so on.
the front motor stands will need to be moved. i would suggest going to a 5.8 though instead of the 302. its the same amount of work and the 5.8 is a far better truck motor. the 300-6 will out perform a 302 in a truck application just so you know. i would either stay with the 300 or go 351w. its a good swap ask away if you have more questions.
