Please Help

OK i noticed when i got home that my degas bottle was leakin coolant. Either it or the top, does anyone know why?

It's got a pressure cap...just like a radiator cap. Maybe it's bad.

Degas Bottle

Check the degas bottle for hairline cracks - I just replaced mine - it was leaking from a crack near one of the moldline seams.

If that's the problem it will. How much coolant did you lose? It didn't overheat and spray everyting down like a blown hose did it?

there is some on the battery next to the bottle why, would that be a bad thing?

Yeah, it would be bad if a hose popped....you would lose all of your coolant and overheat the engine. I'm assuming that didn't happen since it seems you just have a small leak that's making a bit of a mess.

Since your degas is evidently still mostly full it's just a matter of tracking down the leak and fixing it.
