I need to replace the bellhousing on a 93 Aerostar 4x4 AT.
Does anyone have the shop manual that could scan the instructions and send them to me?
If not, is it just a matter of unbolting it from the tranny body and bolting the replacement on with new gaskets and seals. Or does it entail tearing the tranny down.
If the bell housing already has a pump attached to it, then it's simple, just what you said. But if you have to transfer the pump, you also have to align it with a special tool. If that's the case, take it to a tranny shop and have them align it for you. I'm sure they will do it for 20 bucks. It's really simple if you have the tool.
