So does that mean the I could pull a 5 speed or a E4OD from a modern diesel and "bolt" it to my 74 460? I know the E4OD needs a computer and I know it would take lots of mods to run the 5 speed, I'm just asking about it being the same bolt patern?

Intresting what part did not work I have had several of these tranny out for clutch jobs and they look the same bellhousing wise, but I never had a chance to try and fit them against the 460 Eric
Well Eric it looks the same until you put them together, the bolt pattern is a little diffrent and the dowel pins are biger. the top too bolts apear to be in the same place as 460 but the others don't line up there was something else too but it was a year ago and don't remember what else but it is diffrent.
