I had my front end aligned a few weeks ago and had the chance to watch the guy do it. I don't really know what i was looking at on the screen but all the colors were green. I assume this means every thing was in specs. The problem is the outsides of my tires are worn considerably while the insides look almost new. I guess what i'm asking is was there some adjustment that wasn't done or can't be done. I've read other posts where some kind of cam adjuster was talked about. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Camber is the angle of the wheel, measured in degrees, when viewed from the front of the vehicle. If the top of the wheel is leaning out from the center of the car, then the camber is positive, if it's leaning in, then the camber is negative. Which means that, if the camber is too far positive, then the tire will wear on the outside of the tread.
Like Ken says though, outer tire tread wear could be caused by something other than a bad alignment.
