I'm going to replace my LH side mirror on my 03 Ranger. I scraped it backing out of my new garage, which is too small. Anyway, does anyone have any info on how to go about replacing the mirror assembly? It's a manual mirror, by the way. I'm trying to find where the screws are to remove the thing!
then peel back the moisture barrier, unclip and and remove the speaker, and that should give you a clear shot at the nuts that hold the mirror in place.

Ouch, that looks kind of tricky. I wonder if I should just take my replacement mirror assembly to a shop and have them do it for me. Although it would probably be a good learning experience to get all inside the door and do it myself....
OK, i'm going to go at it then...just one more thing. what is the moisture barrier? After I'm done will it stick back the way it was again, or do I need some adhesive?
I believe it will go right back in place without adhesive. It's exactly what it says, a moisture barrier, keepin' moisture outta the door (and your speaker!).
It's really easy to do the mirror. Once you pull the door panel you'll see the 2-3 nuts that hold the mirror on. I dont think the moisture barrier even goes up that high.
Theres no clips to break. You remove the window crank handle (if you have manual windows) then you remove the 2 screws on the bezel thats around the door handle. The bezel is also held on by clips so a little pull will remove it. There is a hidden screw behind that and a screw on the bottom of the door panel opposite of the map pocket. You then just lift the door panel upwords toward the top off the door about 2 inches and then it will basically fall right off.
