i have the "stickum" ones. i had to loosen my mirrors on the front windows so i could get the front section's flange behind the mirror plastic, without it sticking. once that stuff touches the rubber, it ISNT coming off. i have shattered a few misaligning them and trying to re-position them.

star, i have both... let me explain. I purchased the stick on kind, easy to do, (even for a girl, me! ) then i had to have some repairs done and when the shop was fixing my truck they cracked one. when they ordered the new one they purchased the channel mount. I prefer the stick on. my window rubs the channel mounted one every time I roll my window up.

Simply put, this ain't right.

I'd have them remedy it, or replace it with the stick-on type. Just my 2¢.

I have the stick on...but only on the two front windows. The rear SuperCab windows do not have them...Not to concerned about it. That is just the way I bought my 2003 F250 SD SC SWB XLT.

IMO...I like them a lot.

Channel mounts. I think the stickupms might affect the paint some day. Also, concerned they might come off in the cold weather we have up here. My '99 SD had channel mounts alos, took a beating without any problems.

I have the stick on ones and they seep a little. I guess the tape wasn't that good. I get a little water coming in between the vent visor and the door frame when it's raining hard.
