Vacuum line on C6

Which type of vacuum do you hook up the tranny diaphram to?

One more question, When I suck on the vacuum line the vacuum bleeds off to nothing. Is this normal or do I need to change out the diaphram? No tranny oil comming up the vacuum line either. I changed out the carb so now I did not know where it went. I believe it was working fine before with it hooked up to the carb but don't want to risk having a vacuum leak it that is what the diaphram is doing. Thanks again......
