My '79 has a 40 gallon aftermarket tank on it. I'm not sure who manufactured it, it was already on the truck when I got it. It's mounted in the same location in the rear like the stock tank, and just uses spacers to drop the bottom tank brackets about 4". I will have to look around for the directions that were in the glove compartment. They would probably have the name of the manufacturer on them.
I understand that the rear tank on '78-'79 Broncos is 33 gallons, it will bolt right into your truck with the use of the straps from the Bronco, you will have to relocate your spare tire if you go this route.
It costs 175.99 and installs rear of the axle. I installed this in my 78 f150 4x4 and the fuel sender must be modified (cut and extended) and you'll need to get extended bolts to hold the tank. This is about the best value for the dollar I could find.
