Eddie had drug/alcohol demons he was fighting, and I believe that was the subject of his DVD, or book; "Cheating Death"... Let's not forget the rest of wrestlers who have died:
Curt Hennig
Brian Pillman
Andre( died after coming back from his dad's funeral)
Junkyard Dog (died after coming back from his granddaughter's graduation)
Owen Hart
Feel free to add to the list...
Seems like Hogan and Flair will live forever!

Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit actually go all the way back to their ECW days. Eddie Guerrero had a fabulous career and it was nice to see the WWE finally put him over at last year's Wrestlemania with a solid win over Kurt Angle which was long overdue in my book. Eddie Guerrero has long been one of the best all-around talents that had come into wrestling in the last 15 years or so. He could wrestle, most wrestlers really can't wrestle that well, and he had an unparalleled charisma because he sparked a different interest in the fans. In the land of the giants a little Mexican guy won the world championship where huge comic book figures like Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin won championship gold. That is a huge accomplishment because the WWE is so much based on it's image. I am deeply saddened by Eddie Guerrero's death more so than any of the wrestlers you guys mentioned that have passed on or even the ones you forgot like Road Warrior Hawk and the Adrian Adonis because he was a truly unique kind of entertainer. It just makes me think of how long he worked to get the recognition he so richly deserved then some piece of trash like The Rock had it just handed to him but that's another story for another day. It just sucks because he could really put on a show but I feel really sorry for his family for they are the ones that really suffer.
It's sad that someone would actually down play the wrestler's broken down feelings as acting for the camera. Even Vince McMahon knows when to stop his WWE fiction to face the harsh reality of Eddie Guerrero's death it's too bad those who made the comments don't.
Rey Mysterio revealed his face in WCW's later years as Chris Jericho went on a luchador lynching and made all the masked luchador crusierweights take off their masks after defeating them. You might remember because he went on a hip hop gimic and even did a little number with Master P. That's why it puzzled me when he came to the WWE with the mask on when everyone had already seen him without it. Nonetheless R.I.P Eddie Guerrero. You will truly be missed.
Hey Sharpshooter. You sound like a real fan. Maybe I should tune in a little more often.
I questioned some of the crying for the camera. No matter how it affected them and how sad they were, I just can't see the need for it. Say what you want to say. Like some did. But if you can't control yourself, stop the taping. His wife didn't sob. Did Stephanie have to?
If they stop the taping then it does give the wrestlers the chance to truly illustrate their grief. I can honestly see what you are saying about Stephanie because I never liked that b---h anyway but as far as his wife have thick skin. Like someone said before me, everyone expresses their grief in different ways. It's just beyond me why someone would question Chris Benoit. Benoit has been his best friend for years and this is the 3rd death close to his heart. He trained in Stu Hart's "Dungeon" with Owen Hart who passed back in 1999 and not to mention Owen's brother-in-law Davey Boy Smith who passed a year or two ago. Not to mention he worked with Brian Pillman so for Chris Benoit to lose 4 friends or co-workers in less than 8 years I think that weighs in heavily on him as it would anyone else.
I understand why you would be sketical but for the one or two wrestlers who may have been playing up to the camera there were plenty more who were honest to God genuine in their emotions.
I just wish Vince McMahon would have put him over sooner rather than keeping other talents afloat like his son-in-law HHH. It may may have been late but I'm glad Eddie Guerrero finally got his due.
