1989 Tranny...

My first and reverse gears grind when trying to engage them. Do I need to bite the dust and get a refurbushed tranny or what?

my truck which is also an '89 does the same thing unless at a complete stop. Any other symptoms like clutch pedal feel different? also wat motor /tranny. mine is a 300 with a T-18 tranny so my first is extremely low. good only for starting on steep hills and under heavy load.

Yeah it's a 300, and the tranny is really low. I love it for that. But was wondering if I need to get it checked and have it redone.
